Current medical treatments, particularly in common diseases, often rely on chronic medication, which has its limitations. To promote healthier aging and enhance quality of life, the development of sustainable and regenerative therapies is crucial. Challenges in demonstrating proof of principle and financial constraints post-proof of principle have impeded the clinical translation and wider adoption of advanced therapies.

With the RegMed Forum we aim to identify those shortcomings that currently block or hinder advanced and regenerative therapies to become leading strategies in health care. We believe that a patient-centric view should be at the core of our discussion and, thus, the forum brings together all stakeholders involved from patient representatives, healthcare providers, regulatory authorities, scientists, start-ups and big pharma. They will share their expertise and opinions in talks, panel discussions and dedicated round tables. Furthermore, there will be plenty of networking opportunities aiming to reach a consensus understanding on the essential patient-centric outcome measures and the requirements of a patient-centric view. Such way, the implementation of advanced therapies could prove effective despite their sometimes higher initial costs.
