Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin announces the 2018 cohort!
Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin, a leading accelerator for Digital Health startups in Europe and Globally, announces the class of 2018 kicking off the program first thing September.
After a 6-month period of scouting, reaching 3000+ international digital health startup and with more than 400 program applications, 20 shortlisted teams were invited to Berlin for two intensive days of speed-dating with corporates, investors and subject specialists, whose collective feedback ultimately resulted in selection of this third years cohort of Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin. The program is backed by partners such as Vilua (arvato Bertelsmann), Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) – Charité , Boehringer IngelheimDeutsche Apotheker und Ärztebank, Migros, Munich RE, and Sanofi, in Germany, and Dentons as legal partner. The startups joining the accelerator can now look forward to access to over 150 mentors, Seed investment, a huge value-pack in form of partner deals, and an effective 3 months program moving each company a years worth of work.
Some of the core focus areas for this year’s program are “Deep Technology” and “AI diagnosis” in digital health. Here are the 12 teams from 8 countries that made it to the program:
Computational Life (Italy): Simulate the Physiology, understand the Pathology.
RAMPmedical (Germany) : Closing the gap between scientific research and medical practice
Raccoon.World (Ukraine) : Interactive therapy and analyzing tool for hand rehabilitation
ABATONhealth (Germany) : Building disease-specific patient-centric competence networks
Goodsomnia (Sweden) : The stop-snoring solution with full ECG analysis.
EyeMove (Russia) : Diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases by the motion of the eyes
MindMe (Germany) : Therapeutic app to overcome anxiety
Bold Health (United Kingdom) : Behavioural health platform for underserved chronic conditions
Oxipit.ai (Lithuania) : Fully automatic computer-aided analysis/diagnosis of X-rays
Cardiolyse (Finland) : Cardio analysis/Diagnostics.
Two spinoffs from Charité through Berlin Institute of Health join the program as Entrepreneurs in Residence.
Prediction2020 (Germany) : Simulation-based AI for prediction/prevention of stroke
Nocturne (Germany) : Diagnosing neurological disorders by retinal image analysis

The program will conclude this year’s sprint 27th November 2018 at Demo Day to an audience of investors & business stakeholders. Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin also just announced collaboration with Frontiers Health Conference, that takes place on 15-16 November, and investors will have exclusive access to the startups at this event a few weeks before the program Demo Day. After graduating, startups will continue to be supported by the Startupbootcamp Global Alumni growth program, which is now over 600 startups strong.
