German Accelerator Life Sciences Appoints Vice President Germany

The German Accelerator Life Sciences (GALS) has appointed Stefan B. Beerhalter as Vice President Germany. Mr. Beerhalter has more than 25 years of experience in the medical device industry and held various international and national senior management positions. He will head all GALS activities in Germany to identify, engage, and ultimately enroll the most promising German life science startups and emerging companies in the GALS program.

“Stefan is a seasoned executive with an extensive background in organizational development, business development, and marketing & sales management in industryleading medical device companies” said Christoph Lengauer, CEO of GALS. “We are confident that Stefan’s experience and broad skill set will play an important role in executing GALS’ program initiatives in Germany and anchor GALS deeper with all stakeholders focusing to propel medical innovation into successful companies”.

Prior to joining GALS, Stefan Beerhalter held a variety of senior roles in the medical device industry, most recently as Vice President Global Sales & Marketing for CARDIONOVUM GmbH, Germany and Managing Director for OrbusNeich Medical, Germany. He holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg, Germany and a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Applied Sciences, Kiel, Germany.

Stefan Beerhalter will identify and manage the GALS relationships with key stakeholders within the German landscape. “My role presents a unique opportunity to help young German companies scale further through the GALS program and make therapies and devices developed in Germany available to improve the treatment of patients in the U.S. and beyond” said Stefan Beerhalter.
