Innovation Award of the German BioRegions 2025!

Dear innovators and creative minds!

Do you have a groundbreaking idea with the potential to change the future of modern biotechnology and life science?

The application phase for the Innovation Award of the German BioRegions is now open!

The Innovation Award of the German BioRegions honours patented or patent-pending, application-oriented ideas with high implementation potential and great market opportunities.

Scientists from universities and non-university institutions, legal entities under public law (such as universities, universities of applied sciences or patent exploitation agencies), as well as Founders of companies that have not yet generated significant revenue and have not transferred substantial company shares to external investors are invited to apply. The innovations must relate to modern biotechnology or medical technology related to biotechnology.

The six best applications will be invited to present their innovations to an international audience of experts and potential financiers at the German Biotechnology Days 2025 in Heidelberg. The three best applications will win the Innovation Award of the German BioRegions 2025. As winner, you will receive one of the three prizes worth € 2,000 each and benefit from media attention and coverage in the specialised media. In addition, an audience prize of € 2,000 will be awarded.

The first ten applicants this year will receive a ticket for the German Biotechnology Days. A little goodie as a thank you for the quick submission. We can't wait to see who will be rewarded with this additional prize!
